Theme of May: Islands

This weekend our eldest daughter moved to Texel. She is going to work in a hotel as a trainee. Texel is the largest of the Dutch Wadden Islands.
To go to the island you need to take a boat from Den Helder. The distance between Den Helder and Texel is 4,2 km and it takes about 20 minutes to cross the water. Of course it is not the end of the world, but for me it feels a little bit like this.
This month you can make your own island. You don't need to draw the sea or clouds, just the island will do. I will place all the islands in a big blue sea.
What will your island look like? Is it abandoned, spooky, romantic or fancy with a shopping mall? You can send in your artwork until the 23th of May. See you on your island!

    what a great Idea, dear Roos Kluvers, I just love Texel....the place to be for me! I will draw my Fantasy Island with fantasy figures and I will send my drawing before the deadline. I have visited Texel for 10 years in a row, I love, like, hunger for this Dutch Island
