One extra day...

One extra day to send in your artwork. Closing date: Thursday at midnight, 22th of December. In the mean time we had new visitors from Israel, Malaysia, Ukraine, Taiwan, India , Pakistan, Portugal and Norway. If you visit the blog for the first time, feel free to join with a drawing. You don't have to be a member to send in an angel.

You still have one long week to go and send in your angel.

I know everybody is having a busy time. But I want to remind you that all angels are welcome: quickly drawn angels, small angels, holy angels, naughty angels, sleepy angels, stressed angels...

I hope to see you all in the gallery of angels on the 25th of December. Please join us. Without you there will be no angel-crowded sky!

Theme of December: Angels

What could be a better theme for the month of December then Angels?

You can make 1 angel or a group of angels if you like; you can make an angel sit on a cloud or add stars to it. But be sure the background is white! No frames this time, because later on all angels are going to fly together in one and the same sky.

Please file your artwork this way: your name_theme2 (in my case: roos_theme2).

Be sure to send it before 21th of December (max. 1 Gb).

All artwork will be shown both in the collage and seperate on the Flickr photostream of difference 25. I hope many people will join and we 'll have a lot of traffic in the sky!

The 25th of December is Christmas Day. Can you imagine a more perfect day to present the gallery of angels?

Today we reached  500 pageviews in 12 different countries, 12 members and 3 people who send in their artwork.

You can send in artwork untill the 21th of November in order to join the collage of the differences of 25.

If you don't have a scanner at home you can also make a picture or go to a copyshop to scan your artwork.

-Your name (or the name you want to use on the blog)

-City and country you live in

-Extra's: whatever you want to share on the blog: hobby, work , age, pets, favorite colour etc.

There was some confusion about the frames. It is not possible to download the frames from the blog or copy them. You have to add one yourself. You can also draw one.

Theme of November: selfportrait in a frame.
Draw, paint, clay, photograph...... yourself.
Add a nice frame so we can build the gallery of differences.

This time size doesn't matter.
Take in mind that you don't use too many small details.
Look at the example to see what it could look like.
Take care the artwork you send is max. 1Gb.

The difference of 25 is watched internationally

The idea of the blog came to me when Petra C. and I were looking for a drawing course. But we could not find anything nice and payable. We both love drawing but sometimes don' t find the time to start with it. Then the idea came up to start drawing in a group. The advantage is that you have a deadline and you're working to finish before the date. In a book I saw an image of drawings made by different peope, all put nicely together. That's the reason why I want to make a collage of all the work from the people who like to join.

It's not commercial, it's free, and it's especially meant for people who love to draw/ paint, make pictures... and like to see what other people make. The nice part is that people all over the world can join. So feel free to join, I try to put everybody's name with their drawing. And when you register to be a member you can always contact the people who are a member too.

It would be great if you see nice things and can ask questions about the way it is made or see more work from that person,

The first idea was to find 25 people in 5 different countries, but I was afraid I had to chase people every month to send the work. Now it is more open and free, I hope a lot of people want to join, or at least 25!

That would be a fantastic start for the difference of 25.
